About Jinnah Welfare Council
Empowering Communities • Promoting Equality • Building a Better Future
Jinnah Welfare Council (JWC) is a social development organization based in district Bhakkar of Punjab province. JWC is a nongovernmental, not for profit, nonsectarian and nonpartisan organization working for the social development of vulnerable and less developed segments of both urban and rural communities in district Bhakkar.
JWC was established by a group of young and energetic individuals who were highly motivated and committed to contribute their time, skills, and energy for the development and empowerment of socially disadvantaged and vulnerable communities — particularly addressing poverty and gender-based discrimination.
JWC is registered under the Social Welfare Agencies Act 1961 (XLVI of 1961). It was officially registered on 25th February 1992 under registration number DDSW (SGD) 92-188. It’s a human-centered NGO that can be described as an implementing organization — designing and executing various developmental projects with financial and technical support from international donor agencies and the government.
The main focus of JWC’s work is equality and human rights, with a particular emphasis on women’s rights — especially in district Bhakkar and its surrounding areas. For nearly three decades, JWC has actively implemented programs and initiatives aimed at promoting and protecting human rights, especially for women and marginalized groups.
Our Commitment
JWC continues to work tirelessly toward a just, equitable, and inclusive society where every individual, regardless of gender or background, can live with dignity and access equal opportunities.
